China has dozens of large container seaports and developed infrastructure across the country. For recent decade, China has also been rapidly developing railway infrastructure. As of 2024, the country had more than 159,000 km of railways, the second longest network in the world.

Another way of container shipping is TIR
TIR enables goods to transit from a country of origin to a country of destination in sealed load compartments that are controlled by customs via a multilateral, mutually recognised system.
A TIR operator purchases a TIR guarantee and loads goods into an approved container or load compartment. Goods are only inspected by the customs office of departure! The vehicle crosses border with load compartment sealed, which results in more fast and smooth delivery.
